
Malkangiri, 23/03/2026: The preparation process has started under the supervision of Malkangari District Magistrate Arvind Rajashirke to carry out the country’s first complete digital census-2027. In this series, the first batch of training camp for enumerators (enumerators) and supervisors (supervisors) under Malkangiri Tehsil (Rural) has been successfully completed today at Malkangari Nodal High School campus. Additional District Collector (Revenue) Vedbar inaugurated the program as the Chief Guest while District Census Officer Muna Turuk and Malkangari Tehsildar Biswaranjan Viswana were present and guided the trainees. Lucky Ranjan Lenka and Harprasad Mohapatra joined as field trainers and imparted detailed training on technical techniques of data collection through mobile app. It is worth noting that a total of 1269 enumerators and 227 supervisors have been employed for the census work in the entire Malkangari district. While the training process for Malkangari Tehsil has started today, the training program for all other Tehsils in the district will continue till next April 6th. Citizens can self-register their data on the se.census.gov.in portal from April 1 to April 15. From April 16 to May 15, trained enumerators will go door to door to collect data digitally. This time there will be no paper work in the census, all data will be collected through a special mobile app. The administration has appealed to the public to participate in nation building by providing accurate and impartial data through our census, our development message. The guests opined that accurate census will play a major role in shaping education, health and social welfare schemes of the district.
