Malkangiri, 26/3/26: A preparatory meeting has been held by the district administration to celebrate the ‘Odisha Day’ at the district level in a grand ceremony on April 1. The meeting was held in the presence of Additional District Collector Rajswa Vedbar Pradhan and Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer of District Council Dasharthi Sarabu under the direction of District Collector Arvind Rajashirke. According to the decision taken in the meeting, on the occasion of Orissa Day, a morning tour will be organized in the city by the District Information and Public Relations Department. On this day, the district administration will offer floral wreaths to the statues of the bridegrooms in different parts of the city and pay tributes. Likewise, it has been decided to offer floral tributes to the statue of the bridegroom in the premises of all public and private educational institutions and offices of the district by the heads of the respective institutions. Along with this, a public meeting and a colorful cultural program will be organised. Winners of various competitions will be awarded in this meeting. The meeting informed that all government offices should be decorated with colorful lights to make the festival more attractive. District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi conducted the program of the meeting and read out the previous year’s report and delivered the welcome speech. Municipal Council Executive Officer Rajeev Lochan Naik, ACF Mansun Khemundu, teachers and students of all the colleges and schools of the district and various departmental officials attended the preparatory meeting. Departmental staff Harekrishna Kirtanya and Ranjan Mohanty assisted in organizing the meeting.
