Malkangiri, 24/3/26: An important video conferencing meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate Arvind Rajashirke to create awareness among the youth of Malkangiri district and to increase the number of registrations for the recruitment of firemen in the Indian Army. The meeting was attended by Jaipur Regional Director of Education, Malkangiri Sub-District Officer, District Skill Development and Deployment Officer, District Education Officer, District Welfare Officer, Chairman of Government ITI and Polytechnic and Director of Gopalpur AERO Army Recruitment Office. It was informed in the meeting that the registration process of Agnibi started from last February 13th and will continue till April 1st. However, only 25 candidates have registered from Malkangiri district, which is the lowest in the state. The District Governor has expressed concern about this and has ordered more and more youths to get involved. A special officer will be appointed in each higher secondary school and college for firefighter registration. Help centers will be established in educational institutions to assist students in registration. Sub-District Magistrates, District Education Officers and District Mars Officers will review the progress of registration daily and report to the District Magistrate. The district administration is committed to provide all kinds of support so that the youth of the district can get an opportunity to serve the country by joining the Indian Army, the District Collector said.
