Malkangiri, 27.9: Narsingh Charan Mohanty has been selected as the new ombudsman in Malkangiri district. This important post in the district was lying vacant for the last two years. There are many roles and importance of this post, while there are many people in the running for the post, finally Mr. Mohanty has been selected for this post. Mr. Mohanty has been working as a renowned barrister lawyer in the district for many years and is known as a well-known social worker in the district. Many times he advocated for everything from helping the helpless and the poor to giving justice to the workers and ending the practice of forced labour. He also worked as a journalist for a few days. As a barrister lawyer, he has helped many poor and helpless people in various cases. However, Mr. Mohanty has previously served as President of District Attorneys Association, President of District Lawyers Association, State Working Member of Uttarakhand Journalists Association. So after he got the responsibility of this position, he has received good wishes from various quarters. District Uttarakhand Journalist Association has congratulated Mr. Mohanty and various organizations of the district have conveyed their best wishes to Mr. Mohanty. However, according to the letter number 27119/25 issued by the Panchayat Raj and Drinking Water Department of Odisha Government, Mr. Mohanty has been given this responsibility.
