Malkangiri, 28/03/2026: A fire safety awareness and mock drill program has been successfully completed at Malkangiri District General Hospital. The training camp was organized with the aim of successfully dealing with emergencies like fire and ensuring patient safety. DMO Incharge Doctor Sapan Kumar Dinda, Nursing Superintendent Sanjulata Sethi and Hospital Manager Biswajit Parwari were present in the program and encouraged the staff. Conducted under the direct supervision of fire supervisors, the exercise provided hands-on training on proper use of fire extinguishers and how to safely evacuate patients in an emergency. All Nursing Officers-in-charge, ICU staff, Oxygen Plant Operators, Security staff, Cleaning staff and Kitchen staff among others participated in this important event. Doctor Dinda expressed his opinion that this mock drill will be very helpful in strengthening the fire safety system and making the staff efficient in institutions like hospitals.
