Malkangiri, 27/2/26: Under the direction of District Magistrate and Principal Census Officer Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, a review and training program of district level census officers for census has been organized at Model Degree College. Presiding over the program, Additional District Collector Rajsab Vedbar Pradhan advised the officials to complete the first phase census to be conducted from April 16th to May 15th. For this, April 1 to 15 will be counted. In which anyone can upload all their data using the census portal. Although the census is supposed to be held every 10 years in India, since it is being conducted every 15 years after 2011, the Additional District Collector has advised an informed citizen to provide his/her information accurately and transparently. Jayakrishna Bhoi, Deputy Director of the State Census Directorate, as the training officer, trained the officials to conduct the census efficiently. The staff of the Directorate of Census assisted in this training. Various phases related to Census were discussed in the program. Emphasis was placed on the use of CMMS, data collection through digital platforms, accuracy of data and timely reporting. District-level officers, charge-level officers and related staff have participated in this training program and received the necessary instructions for the successful completion of the census work. The district administration has said that all counting work will be done correctly and expertly and the public’s cooperation will be taken. Deputy Census Officer Muna Turuk assisted in organizing the training.
