Nuapada: Fifteen-year-old boy Kumar Jagat of Chhata village, Dhorlimunda Panchayat, Komna Block, Nuapada District was studying in the local Chhata High School. The father had no other benefits apart from the daily wage to run the family. But the father could not go to work as the immobile son had to do toilet work, washing etc. The family was always starving. After reporting this to the District Magistrate, the District Magistrate realized the seriousness of the situation and recommended an application from the Chief Minister’s Aid Fund along with the child’s disability certificate. On the basis of this recommendation, the Hon’ble Chief Minister granted ten lakh rupees to this helpless family today. The check for this amount was handed over to Parshu Jagat by the District Collector. Parshu expressed his gratitude to the District Collector for providing medical assistance to a helpless disabled boy and saving his family from hunger and distress.
