Three people, including a woman and a minor, were seriously injured in the village of Yogimunda, Sunabeda Panchayat, Gadbhata, Nuapada District, Komna Police Station. The injured were Malsu Pahria (46), female Shukrbari Pahria (45) and minor Satya Pahria (14) of the said village. According to information, around 3:30 in the afternoon Laldhar Paharia (45) of Yogimunda village was returning home from the forest with a bow in his hand. At that time Shukrbari was leaving his house when Laldhar attacked him with an arrow. Later, as he came forward, he was also shot with an arrow. At that time, the minor, who had lost his parents and was taking refuge with his grandmother, was returning from Pikhana. As there was no road or ambulance service, a few youths from Sunabeda village carried all the seriously injured on cots for 3 km. Duran took Sunabeda to primary health center. Shukrbari was slightly injured and returned home after first aid. Malu and Satya have been shifted to District Head Hospital in critical condition. Till the time of writing, while the arrow was removed from Mansu’s body, the arrow could not be removed from Satsyk’s stomach. While the cause of the arrow attack is not known, according to the villagers, they came to the forest in an intoxicated state and committed such a crime. News Komna police reached the spot and started investigation. The police have launched a manhunt to catch the accused.
