Baliguda / Raikia, 8/3 : (Fast News Odisha) International Women’s Day has been enthusiastically celebrated by Madhyam Foundation in Mandakia, Dodingia, Gumamaha, Sugarbadi and Petapang panchayats under Raikia block of Kandhamal district. On this occasion, more than 600 women participated and made the program successful. The program discussed women empowerment, social and economic progress of women and awareness about their rights. The guests opined that women play a major role in building the society and improving the family, so they need to be self-reliant and empowered. On this occasion, local people’s representatives, administrative officers, retreat executive officers, officials of Madhyam Foundation, panchayat CR, P and MBK actively participated. In the meeting, women were made aware about health, education, independence and equal rights in society. The program was successfully completed under the management of the Central Foundation.
