State Handicraft Fair is held at Sadar Mahkuma Baripada of Mayurbhanj. There are many stalls in this fair, handloom weavers and traders from all over Odisha. There are many types of sarees available like Sambalpuri Pat, Khanduapat, Sambalpuri Slick, Tasapali, but the price of these sarees has increased so much that common people are too reluctant to buy them. It is seven days for the poor or middle class people, so that a question has been raised about their absence in the fair grounds. In the general public and intelligentsia, the price of cotton which ten years ago or eight years ago was Rs. has increased per village. As a result, the price of saree has increased by five to six times what it was eight years ago. The average Sambalurishadi ranges from five thousand to twenty-five thousand. So it has become a kind of dream for the poor or middle class. This is being criticized by the government everywhere, so the government should be aware of this, how can the public buy it at an affordable price and get an opportunity to use it, and how it will benefit the people, so that the government can control the price as soon as possible and make it available to all categories of consumers.
