Early morning 18.9.2025 “Snake bite death prevention and lightning alert awareness program” and first aid and life saving skills training school Principal Mr. Akshay Kumar with the support of Odisha State Disaster Management Authority, Bhubaneswar and District Disaster Management Authority, Mayurbhanj and District Education Department Mayurbhanj at Rikh Central School Murgabadi Assembly Hall The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Mr. Jagabandhu Mohanty, DPO of the District Emergency Department, Mr. Wisnanranjan Acharya, the Science Project Officer of the District Education Department, and Arun Kumar Mahanth, the Master Trainer of ODRAF Team Pekhsha Durg, along with Padmalochan and Julimani Behera and Kavitha Ghadei, the Community Master Trainers of Osdmar, attended the meeting as the chief guest. In the beginning, Principal Mr. Mallik highlighted about today’s awareness program while DPO Mr. Mohanty explained what to do in school and home for emergency, what rules to follow during calamity and also what to do and what not to do in case of lightning, snake bite. In case of snakebite, it is advised to immediately take ASV to the group and district head hospital without wasting time. Science Project Officer Mr. Acharya gave a lecture on school safety while Mr. Mahanth and Padmalochan, Master Trainers of ODRAF gave training on CPR along with First Aid. As such, two community master trainers from Osdam provided training on the use of different types of bandages. All the teachers, students and students of the school were present in the said program. At the end Chairman Mr. Mullick gave vote of thanks.
