Koraput, 27.8 () Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has launched the “CM Kisan” aid scheme on the occasion of the holy Nuanukhai, an agricultural festival. During the period of 2025-26 Rabi, more than 51 lakh farmers have benefited from this assistance, while more than 1 lakh farmers have benefited from Koraput district. In Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has launched the disbursement of relief amount through DBT. Koraput MLA Raghuram Fish attended the ceremony presided over by Koraput District Governor Manoj Satyaban Mahajan as the chief guest. 133717 farmers of Koraput district have been given an amount of 26 crore 74 lakh 14 thousand rupees. Small and Nomadic Farmers, Landless Farmer Families and Urban Farmers including Specially Scheduled Tribes have been provided CM Kisan Assistance through DBT. This is a landmark initiative of the State Government. Farmers will get a total financial assistance of Rs 4,000 in two installments per year. 12 thousand 500 rupees financial assistance will be given to the homeless farmer families in 3 installments. Officers and employees of Koraput Agriculture Department participated and assisted in the management.
