
Malkangiri, 8/3/26: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the fourth installment of Subhadra was held at the local culture building. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the state level program organized in Puri district today. All the districts of the state have joined the program through Avasi. District Council Chairperson Samari Tangulu attended the program as the chief guest while Chittagong MLA Representative Gobind Pan, Additional District Administrator Somnath Pradhan, Additional District Administrator Rajswa Vedbar Pradhan, District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Dasharthi Sarabu, Deputy District Commissioner Duryadhan Bhoi, District Social Welfare Officer Gauri Naik, District Welfare Officer Srinivas Acharya, District Panchayat Officer, District Child Protection Officer Narayan Das were present. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi through virtual media said that the people’s government is working with determination and continuity to empower women. Subhadra Yojana is a shining example of this concept. Subhadra Yojana has empowered women socially and economically as well as made them self-reliant. Subhadra has given women a unique identity as well as financial independence. It is the power of women that will accelerate the process of building a prosperous and developed Odisha in the days to come. At the district level event, Ms. Tangul wished everyone on International Women’s Day and encouraged mothers to be aware of their rights and empowered in every field. In the fourth installment of the district, beneficiaries above 1 lakh 40 thousand have received Subhadra money. District Social Welfare Officer Gauri Naik delivered the welcome speech. District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi conducted the programme. Prizes were distributed in various competitions organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Various officers and employees were felicitated for best performance under District Social Welfare Department. Officials and staff of the District Social Welfare Department assisted in organizing the programme.
