Baripada, 14.11: Under the leadership of Sengel Pargana and Baripada zonal president of Sengel Pargana and Baripada zonal president Mr. Naran Murmu of Odisha Pradesh Committee of Adivasi Sengel Abhiyan, a demand letter was given to the District Collector of Mayurbhanj. In addition, it is claimed that serious criminal cases such as social violence are being suppressed by the police administration as a matter of society. It is noteworthy that a social institution that has been living under torture for 5 years has failed to provide justice, protection and rights to the family, and despite repeated calls from the family, it has not been able to find a solution without taking action against the culprits. Therefore, it has been stated that the negligence of the police administration is forcing Basand’s family to commit suicide. According to the information, Mr. Muchiram Tudu and Naki Tudu, husband and wife of Rugulidihi village under Bishoi police station, were inhumanely attacked, tortured, beaten and thrown out of their house and village, this is a violation of the legal system. It is very unfortunate that the police administration is silent on such a huge criminal case. Which now the innocent husband and wife along with their three minors have been destitute since September 21 and are hopelessly spending time in Par Pinda. It is unfortunate that no positive action has been taken till date, despite filing a complaint letter with the SP, police station officer of Mayurbhanj in Ebad. If action is taken against the culprits by November 22 and the Basand family is given justice, security and rights, the tribal Sengel campaign has warned that it will be forced to protest on November 24 at Bishoi on the highway. Baripada Zonal Vice President Mr. Bahadur Murmu, District Yuva Morcha President Mr. Udayanath Hembram, District Majhi-Pargana Madwa President Mr. Vikas Chandra Hembram along with Sonu Sahu were present while presenting the demand letter.
