Baripada (Shulanpada) – 27/09 An awareness program on blood donation was organized by volunteers of NSS on the occasion of service in the campus of Panchayat Samiti Degree College under Shulanpada block near Baripada under the chairmanship of college chairman Kishore Kumar Giri as the chief guest. In addition to being alive, one gets the privilege of saving others’ lives. Teacher and regular blood donor Somnath Singh, who attended as the keynote speaker, highlighted the role of volunteers in the field of social service and encouraged the volunteers above 18 years of age to donate blood regularly. Ex-student Saddam Hussain and students of the college Madhusmita Dhal, Ananya team leader Jyotsnarani Pradhan, Nirlam Kumar participated in the program. Chairman Mr. Giri thanked everyone for the success of the program and expressed that students will be encouraged to donate blood by organizing a voluntary blood donation camp in the college premises in the near future.
