A low pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move towards west-northwest direction and intensify. In the next 24 hours, it may take the form of rainfall and it is expected to turn into heavy rainfall by 26th. According to the information of the regional weather center, it is likely to take the form of a storm on the morning of the 27th. Under the influence of this possible storm, rain will start in south, west and interior Odisha from today. However, heavy rainfall is expected in the state from October 27 to 29. There is a possibility of heavy rain especially in coastal and south Odisha districts like Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea from 26th to 29th.
