
Malkangiri, 15/9/25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch the ‘Healthy Women, Empowered Families Campaign’ on September 17, 2025. In this regard, a preparatory meeting has been held today at the District Collector’s office under the chairmanship of District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay. This is a national level campaign which is planned to provide extensive health check-ups and services to women and girls of all ages on a priority basis through the camp method to create a healthy future generation in all states including Odisha. The district governor said that the district governor emphasized on bringing this program to the people and bringing the district to a better place at the state level and instructed all the officials of the health department and other departments present. It will start from September and will continue till October 2. In this campaign, many programs will be conducted for women such as health check-ups, health services and girls of all ages (especially teenagers) will also be conducted through health check-up camps. Along with this, blood test, blood donation camp, non-communicable disease test, anemia test, blood sugar test, blood count test, health test for pregnant women etc. will be organized in this camp. Not only at the district level, this camp will also be conducted at all group health centers and primary health centers. Superintendent of Defense Vinod Patil H, District Chief Medical Officer Brajbandhu Das and ADPH Nihar Ranjan Praharaj were present in this meeting. Among others, all officials of Health, Education, Women and Child Development, District Social Welfare and Mission Power, Information and Public Relations Departments were present. It is worth noting that during the said programme, camps will be organized in front of the district head hospital, sub-district and group hospitals and health related services will also be provided.
