Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): A mini-marathon race was organized on Thursday morning on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day by the celebration committee of Baliguda Sub-Khand of Kandhamal district. It started from near the local tribal college. District Collector Pranitha Das participated in the race as the chief guest and formally inaugurated it by showing the green flag. Kandhamal MP Sukant Kumar was among the other guests. Water collector, ITDA P.A. Grasindhu Behera, Tehsildar Pramit Prakash Behera, ABDIO and Sub-Divisional Information and Public Relations Officer Pradeep Kumar Bagh, NAC Chairman Gobind Chandra Pradhan, Teacher Pilgrims, were among the main attendees, starting from the college to Mahalakshmi Petrol Tank and from there to the District Collector’s office. Around 300 contestants including volunteers, intellectuals, government and private sector employees took part.
