
Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): The cold is increasing day by day in the whole district of Kandhamal, it is not going to decrease, whether it is day or night, the whole region is shivering in the forest. The general public life is affected. People are finding it difficult to leave their homes due to cold winds and the onset of winter. With the onset of winter, the village Ganda and the urban areas are seen to be deserted in the evening. On the other hand, workers, farmers, students and businessmen are being hampered in their work areas for winter. It is observed that they are wearing different winter clothes all day long. Especially in rural areas or in some places of the city and market, people are also seen fighting the winter by setting fires. Winter is also affecting people’s health. Thick fog and severe cold are experienced in the transitional areas of Nuagaon, Daringbadi, Raikia, Gh. Udayagiri, Tikabali, Chakkapad block area. Not to mention the people who make a daily living by selling wood, coal, vegetables and leaves, according to the weather department, the effects of winter are likely to continue for the next few days. In view of this, there is a general demand from the district administration to distribute blankets to the poor and helpless people. There are many tourists from the state and outside the state to enjoy this dense fog and severe winter. There are many tourist attractions such as Dhalapapol in Baliguda, Jaleshpatta in Tumoban, Wooden Bungalow in Belghar, Ludu in Kotgarh, Coffee Gardens in Daringbadi, Pine Forest, Mandasur Stream in Raikia, Mukulungia in Gh. Udayagiri. Tourists come here to have a picnic, so there is a heavy crowd. The tourism department has not done anything to accommodate all the tourist spots. Tourists are staying in lodges and hotels in nearby towns at high cost. There is a demand from local residents to develop all the tourist spots in Kandhamal district.
