Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): Kandhamal will be a Mao-free district very soon. Kandhamal police, CRPF and BSF jawans have made preparations for this. In this series, 4 non-Odia KKBN Division Maoists have surrendered to IG Police South Niti Shekhar and Kandhamal SP on Friday. Four Maoists are from Chhattisgarh area. These four Maoists surrendered to the Kandhamal police and surrendered with guns, live ammunition and many Maoist items. These include one Eslar gun, two 303 guns, one Berbo gun, 16 rounds of Eslar live rounds, 22 rounds of 303 live rounds, 12 live rounds of 4 rounds, two walkie talkies, Among these four, there are one male and three female Maoists. They are 1. Ganga Kunzmi aka Jiten, 2. Muchaki Mase aka Sumitra 3. Chomali Kunjam alias Shantila and another 4. Prisoner Madhavi alias Malti l These surrendered Maoists today laid down their arms and joined the mainstream of society in front of IG Police Nit Shekhar, Kandhamal SP Harish Bishi, BSF officer Ajay Kumar, BSF Commandant Mans Ranjan Panda, and CRPF Commandant Sanjeev TM. He also called on the Maoists who are currently involved with the Maoist organization to surrender to the police through the government’s self-surrender policy, to get all the facilities available to the Maoists and to join the mainstream of the society.
