
Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 20.9.2025 Rikh: According to the instructions of the Ministry of Culture, the Government of India, from September 17th to October 02nd, the period is being celebrated as “Service Festival” all over the country! Similarly, in Odisha, the Department of Oriental Language, Literature and Culture, on behalf of the Government of Odisha, district-level drawing competition is being held in every district of the state with schools, colleges and professional painters! In this context, the district culture department, Nabarangpur has organized a district level drawing competition for college students and professional painters at the local Nabarangpur Nodal Degree College! Students and professional painters from various colleges of the district who were interested in drawing participated in this competition! The theme for this competition was “Developed India @2047”! Participating painters made beautiful and relevant drawings on the subject and were appreciated by the judges and the chief guest of the program, Additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Khuntia! Senior retired art teacher Mr. Parashuram Sahu and art teacher Shalvi Dutt were the judges of the competition and judged the three pictures of college level as first, second and third respectively and the three pictures of professional level as first, second and third respectively! At college level +3 second year student of Govt College Kosagumuda, Jagannath Bhatra 1st, Mahadev Naik, Gurukripa College, Raighar 2nd and Rajendra Bhatra, Nabarangpur College got 3rd position and similarly at professional level Mr. Anantram Gond, Umerkot 1st, Gaurang Charan Vidika, Nabarangpur 2nd and Shushan Mandal, Umerkot got 3rd position! All winners were awarded certificates by the chief guest! However, the pictures of the first, second and third places will be evaluated in the state level drawing competition to be held in Bhubaneswar on 25 September 2025! In this, there is a provision of financial awards to the successful contestants! District Culture Officer Gashiram Harijan conducted the program while Nabarangpur College Chairman D. Govinda Rao, Professor Mr. Phillip Hota, Sambhu Prasad Hota, Engr. Chandna Mallik was the chief guest and Swatprakash Sahu from the district office, A.
