Malkangiri, 10/9/25: Odisha Governor Haribabu Kambhampati visited Malkangiri for a day and visited Government SSD High School at Mudulipada. On this occasion, the Governor warned about anemia and vision problems among the students. In this program, 12 vision detection devices (Folding Orpter) have been provided to the students. It has been provided in collaboration with the reputed LVI Prasad Eye Institute and the Ophthalmology Department of the District Head Hospital. In addition, 50 teachers have been trained in the use of folding orpter.

Today, a camp was conducted in the premises of SSD High School and eye examination of the students was conducted. Similarly, the students studying in this school have been made aware about anemia. On behalf of Raj Bhavan, arrangements have been made to provide beetroot, carrot and badam ladoo (chikki) to the students studying in this school for two months. It is informed that the Governor has started this special awareness program in this school and all its expenses will be borne by Raj Bhawan. Today, in the presence of the Governor, the students drank carrot and beet juice and ate one piece of badam laddu (chikki). Every day at nine o’clock in the morning students will be given a glass of carrot and beet juice along with one piece of badam ladoo (chikki). Malkangari MLA Narsingh Madkami, Chittarakonda MLA Mangu Khil, Commissioner and Secretary Rupa Roshan Sahu, District Magistrate Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, Security Officer Vinod Patil H and Bankhand Officer Sai Kiran were present in this special launch event.
