On the other hand, according to the information of the District Agriculture and Cooperative Department, the amount of land suitable for paddy cultivation in Kandhamal is very less. As it is a plateau region, there is less paddy cultivation here. However, compared to last year, the number of registrations of farmers has increased somewhat. Last year maximum 2834 farmers registered their names 427 farmers have been registered in Sutra Lamps. Similarly, 151 people in Baliguda Lamp, 371 people in Chakapad, 279 people in Shankrakhol, 74 people in Brahmanigaon, 161 people in Ghu. Udayagiri, 91 people in Lingagarh, 96 people in K. Nuagao, 68 people in Gunjabadi, 121 people in Sarangad, 138 people in Khajuripada, 110 people in Dutiya. 181 people in Kotgarh, 96 people in Gochhapada, 109 people in Firingia, 50 people in Nupadar, 173 people in Phulbani, 275 people in Indragarh, 133 people in Raikiya, 123 people in Garguda, 286 people in Tikabali, 21 people in Tumuband and 93 people in Jhabarafa Lamps have been registered.
