Under Pradhan Mantra Janman and Pradhan Mantra Abhajan Yojana, 100 houses housing program has been held in Bharuamunda village retreat under Nuapada District Sadar Block. For this purpose, a special meeting was held at Bharuamunda village retreat office. It was attended by Nuapada District Magistrate Madhusudan Das as the chief guest. District Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua, Deputy District Magistrate Surmi Soren, District Council Member Bharatlal Raut, Panchayat Samiti President Taraswari Sahu, were the guests of honour.
Vice President Dilip Nirlamkar, Group Development Officer Rohit Bhoi, Local Sarpanch Yamuna Sahu, Samitsabha and various district and block level officials attended. Out of the 391 houses sanctioned in Bharuamunda retreat, 19 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, 361 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Abhajan Ghum Yojana and 11 under the NSPGY Yojana have been received. Out of them, 355 beneficiaries have been congratulated for completing their housing work. 5 beneficiaries who completed the house work within 4 months and 6 months were felicitated in the meeting. In the meeting, the District Collector addressed all the villagers to be alert to declare single-use plastic-free village panchayat soon. A mass tree planting program was held on the occasion. After that, the District Magistrate went to Cuttingpani and Bharuamunda villages in the border area and participated in the home invasion program with the tribals.
