Baripada – Date: 4/12/2025 The 22nd Biennial Conference along with the Open Session of the National Postal Employees Union, Mayurbhanj Branch, was held at the local Sitakunda Nature’s Cottage under the chairmanship of the Union President, Sheikh Abdul Mustakin. On this occasion, retired Deputy Postmaster Suryanand Soren was felicitated by the union. Attending the open session, Binay Kumar Swain from Puri Postal Division and Baksijagabandhu Patra from Bhubaneswar Postal Division shared their views on the new professional developments and technical knowledge currently in practice in the postal department. The union’s Secretary, Debashish Mahant, presented the biennial report and highlighted various employee-related issues. Newly joined employees Deepak Sethi and Pranaya Nandi, as well as employees Soumya Mahant and Bijay Sethi—who achieved special accomplishments in specific fields of the postal department—were also felicitated. Finally, the election of new office bearers of the employee union was conducted. Debashish Mahant was re-elected as Secretary. During the proceedings, Manoj Kumar Mahant proposed the vote of thanks, while Chandrasekhar Mahanti conducted the meeting. Tarun Patra, Abhilash Mahanti, Dhananjay Mahant, Dillip Besra, Akash Das, Rahul Kumar, Jhansi Rani Murmu, Shefali Mahat, and Manulal Sardar assisted in organizing the event.
