Malkangiri, 5/12/25: District Nodal Officer and Director of Fisheries MD Siddique Alam came to Malkangiri and visited the area regarding the implementation of various developmental programs and schemes of the government. Mr. Alam held a review meeting of various departments in the District Council conference room. Additional District Collector Rajsab Vedbar Pradhan, District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Naresh Chandra Shabar, Bankhand Officer Sai Kiran and Deputy District Collector Ashni AL were present in the meeting chaired by District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay. Mr. Alam said that various schemes of the state government need to reach every village end. The departmental officers have been directed to inform about the problems at the district level. It was said in the meeting that the stakeholders can benefit by working in harmony with each other. The Department of Agriculture has been asked to create awareness about the Chief Minister’s Agriculture Entrepreneurship Scheme at Govindapally College. As a result, young entrepreneurs can come out especially from Chittagong, Khairput area. The lead bank manager has been asked to facilitate the credit facility related to the farmers. The Agriculture Department has been asked to conduct more review meetings with field officers and staff. The nodal officer has also ordered to visit the area unannounced. Similarly, in the district, horticulture has been asked to cultivate. Subhadra Yojana says that more women can benefit through animal husbandry. All Anganwadi centers should be child-friendly. Special attention has been given to malnourished children. Bidders have been directed to complete Anganwadi Center work on priority basis. Similarly, it has been asked to create awareness through BKSS to prevent child marriage in the district. Mr. Alam also inquired about the progress of education, drinking water supply, electrification system and under construction roads, high level bridges, buildings in the district. Mr. Alam toured the area yesterday and visited various development projects as well as residential schools and hospitals. Among others, all BDI Tahsildars and district level officers of the district were present.
