
Nuapada: A workshop on Quality Assurance (ZED/LEAN/ISO) under BDSP was organized today in the local Sadbhavna Assembly Hall in a joint effort of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department of Government of Odisha and District Industries Centre, Nuapada. The main objective of the workshop was to empower the MSME enterprises of Nuapada district through quality standards. The workshop discussed in detail the use, importance and benefits of quality certifications like ISO, LEAN and ZED. Entrepreneurs were encouraged to increase their competitive capacity through this process. Presiding over the meeting, District Collector Madhusudan Das highlighted the role of MSME as an engine of integrated economic growth in the district. He said that by adopting quality assurance, enterprises can achieve strong and sustainable development goals. BDSP, district industrial center workers, local entrepreneurs and representatives of various industries were present in the workshop. The District Governor appealed to all to adopt quality based production and management style to make New Pada a model district in the MSME sector.
