
Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Naik) Date: 17.12.2025 Rikh: The Hon’ble School and Public Education Department Minister Nityananda Gand attended the opening program of Dhan Mandi organized by the Controlled Market Committee, Nabarangpur as the chief guest and launched the system of grain collection from farmers in the district from today! Honorable MLA Dabugon Manohar Randhari, District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swayum, Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, Deputy District Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra were present as honored guests on the stage! First, Deputy District Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra welcomed everyone by presenting information on the grain collection system on behalf of the administration in the district! Honorable Minister Nityananda Gand in his speech directed the district administration to carry out this rice collection work smoothly by paying special attention to the farmer’s welfare scheme, providing the farmers with the price of rice and the incentive amount. Dabugo MLA Manohar Randhari emphasized in his speech to prevent short selling and to give all facilities to the farmers in the market! In his speech, the district governor emphasized the importance of completing this grain collection work with order and peace for the farmers in Dhanmandi and ordered the relevant officials to fulfill their responsibilities properly! For the 2025-26 Kharif season, farmers can sell their produced grain at 58 grain collection centers! A total of 52 paddy procurement agencies, 13 lamps, 2 water panchayats and 37 women’s self-help groups will purchase paddy from the farmers in the mandi attached at different times of the week! This year, the government has decided to pay Rs 2,369 per quintal for normal FACs and Rs 2,389 for ‘K’ class FACs with an incentive amount of Rs 731 per quintal. Drinking water, electricity, toilets, weighing machines, tarpaulins, first aid kits, tables and benches, polythene etc. are provided in each mandi. This year, 50,919 farmers have been registered for the sale of paddy! In the first phase, 14,88,000 quintals of paddy have been set in this program. Drapudi Kaher, social worker Kunj Bihari Das, Kahnu Charan Das, farmer leader Jhadeshwar Khadanga, leading farmer Saroj Pan, leading farmer Rajendra Tripathi were present!
