Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): On the orders of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and on the occasion of National Youth Day, a legal awareness program was organized on the premises of local Vishwanath Patnaik Girls Higher Secondary School on the Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation plan for Drug Free India by Taluk Law Seva Samiti, Baliguda, Kandhamal. Jyotiranjan Das, Panel Counsel, Mr. Ramachandra Singh Pote, Retainer-cum-Remand President, and Ms. Anima Kumari Das, Principal addressed the students as guests. A total of 27 participants were present in this program. Students were made aware of drug related laws, adverse effects of drug use, and legal consequences associated with it. Information about available support and rehabilitation helpline services was also provided: NALSA Helpline No.15100, MANS (National Drug Prevention) Helpline No.-1933, and National Drug De-addiction Helpline No. 14446. The objective of the program was to encourage the youth to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle and to create awareness about the legal and counseling support system.
