Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): It seems that Baliguda police arrested a notorious ganja dealer from his own house on Wednesday, who collected ganja from all over Kandhamal district and repeatedly smuggled it to the state and outside the state. Regarding this, the local sub-district security officer Shubham Bhosle held a press conference and informed on Wednesday evening. From the incident, it was revealed that in the name of Rajesh (39) of Sindrigaon Panchayat Tilapanga village, there are 5 cases of marijuana smuggling, two in Baliguda police station, two in Daringbadi police station and one in Nayagarh police station. On April 20, 2025, at a place in Paruvatta forest under Baliguda police station, while planning to export 415 kg of cannabis in 20 plastic bags, the police raided the place and seized the cannabis from a source, but the accused managed to escape from there. Since that day, the Baliguda police was looking for the accused Nakku, and a team led by the Baliguda IIC also formed a team and successfully arrested Nakku from his village home and prosecuted him. Apart from this, further investigation is being carried out on who else is involved in this ganja transaction, said SDPO Shubham Bhosle. IIC Shiv Ranjan Singha was also present at this time.
