Baripada 28/01: A tripartite national conference titled “Dialogue, Policy and Development on Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups for Developed India 420” organized by the Department of Graduate Social Work of Maharaja Sriramchandra Bhanjdeo University has been inaugurated. Under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pramod Kumar Shetpathi sponsored by Government of India’s PMUSA program and chaired by Undergraduate Council Chairman Prof. Kamal Lochan Barik, Dr. Krishnachandra Mohapatra, Minister of Urban Development of Odisha Government attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the seminar in his speech on discipline and self-reliance in student life and how self-reliance in student life is the future of man. He presented the example of his student life that teaches tolerance, taste and charity. Professor Rabindra Garda, Head of the Department of Sociology of the University of Utah joined the conference as the main speaker and in his speech said that there is a need for collective efforts to protect the tribal communities that are being lost in the society. The chief of advertising and public relations department of the University of Journalism and Media in Kushavau Thack, Chhattisgarh Raipur as the guest of honor. Ashutosh Mandbi contributed and highlighted the role of media for tribal development. As one of the honored guests, the President of Odisha Professional Social Service Association Dr. Gayatri Patnaik joined and discussed the responsibilities and duties of social workers towards tribal development. Professor Indrajit Naik, the nodal officer of the university’s P.M. Usha program, said that such a program would help in the development of PVTG in the university. The host of the seminar is the assistant professor Dr. Shubhendu Shetpathi delivered the welcome speech and introduced the guests. Acting Editor Departmental Assistant Prof. Pail presided over the program and Departmental Assistant Professor Dr. Sujay Kundu gave vote of thanks. Many lecturers, students and researchers from Vishwabharti University, Uttar Pradesh University, Sambalpur University, Kish University, BJP College and various colleges have participated in the program. Many tribes like Khadiya of Mayurbhanj, Mankidiya Santal have contributed to it. The faculty, faculty and students of the university participated in the inaugural program.
