
The two-day district-wide 13th Junior Red Cross Study and Training Camp has been officially inaugurated today at Nuapada District Government Girls High School campus. The camp was inaugurated by District Collector Mr. Madhusudan Das as the chief guest and hoisted the Red Cross flag. The District Magistrate administered the oath to all the Junior Red Cross members and councillors. A blood donation camp was also inaugurated on the occasion. Red Cross of India Member Dr. Shiv Prasad Behera, Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Dhaneshwar Sethi, District Education Officer Prashant Kumar Mohanty, Additional District Education Officer Reshmlal Naik and Block Education Officer Ms. Gitarani Joshi were present as guests of honour. In his speech, the District Governor said that service work must be done with discipline and determination. One should not feel proud after completing any service work. Children should practice service attitude from their primary school days. He mentioned that service to parents, responsibility towards the environment and working for society are real services. Many teachers and students along with Junior Red Cross students from five blocks of the district were present on the occasion.
