
Leekera, 31.1 (Fast News Odisha): He alleged that Dibakar Patel (65), a disabled old man, was trapped in Bidmal village of Kirmira block of Jharsuguda district by giving him allowance money. He has come under the scanner of Bengaluru’s cyber cell for illegal transactions by opening an account in his name. Dibakar alleged that Cyber Cell had deactivated his account. The incident has created a stir in the region. According to Dibakar’s allegations, Durgash’s Kollet of that village one day told him about a new plan. Allowance of Rs 2,000 per person with disabilities encouraged them to open new bank accounts. After opening the account in the bank, the accused took away the SIM card along with the Aadhaar card along with the ATM card. He did not hesitate to ask about Dibakar’s allowance money. Dibakar came to the SBI branch in Kimira and inquired The branch manager said he was a victim of fraud. Bengaluru Cyber Cell has placed a hold on the said account due to transactions of Rs 10 lakh in his account. Diwakar is worried after this. The branch manager said, Krishnachandra Meher, the victim of such fraud in the area, said, “There has been a lot on the part of the police station.” So awareness is necessary. Cyber awareness program is being conducted in every Panchayat of Leykera. However, some people fall into this trap in the hope of getting more money.
