Baripada:- 01/02/2026 The 2nd Annual National Day Night Gochai Cup Cricket Tournament will be held between 15th of this month and 5th of March at Friends Union and Sri Durga Sporting Club in Anukully at Tussichura Durga Puja Grounds. Chairman of the Organizing Committee Soumya Ranjan Mishra said that the tournament will be held with 10 teams. The player auction process has been held at the Nasi International Hotel in Baltimore, and each team has one state-level and one national-level player, according to General Editor Gadhar Naik. In this auction process, a total of 180 players from Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts have registered their names. As the most expensive player of the tournament, Hirak Singh was bought by Angel Rana for a maximum of 29,300 rupees. Editor Laxminarayan Das reported that Majhi was bought for 19 thousand 800 by Rudraksha-11 and Vicky Mahana by Dani-11 at 19 thousand 600. It was noticed that the owners of 10 teams are buying players with great enthusiasm. There is a prize money of 2 lakh 50 thousand for the champion team and 2 lakh rupees for the runners-up team.
