District Magistrate Madhusudan Das inaugurated a leaf-making unit of Radha Gobind Self Help Group in Sirtol, Ward No. 12 today. The machine has been supplied to the said SHG in a joint venture between Ormas and Harsha Trust. In this small scale industry inauguration program organized by Ormas, District Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua and Deputy CEO Sahathar were present. Ghosh was also present on the occasion and announced plans to establish uniform eco-friendly leaf plate and cutlery industries in all the village panchayats of the district to implement and further strengthen Nuapada’s single-use plastic free campaign. This unique initiative has created a sustainable alternative to single-use plastics, marking an important milestone in the continuous progress of the SUP Free New Fabric campaign.
