A truck was seen speeding from Baliguda to West Bengal via Barkhama area. Suspicious of the vehicle’s driving, the police team tried to stop the truck for investigation. But the driver failed to comply and continued speeding. The patrol team chased the truck while passing through the area. The trafficker left the truck near Camberikia Ghat near Sudra Panchayat and fled from the spot. Police searched the dump truck and seized 191 kg of marijuana hidden inside the dump truck. West Bengal registered truck No. WB-23-C-9855 was taken into police custody along with seized stolen marijuana. In this regard, Barkhama Out Post Officer Bahubali Amarendra Subudhi said, “Ganja traffickers are now using a new formula, which is the first time in the region to traffic cannabis in a garbage truck.
