
For successful implementation of National Census-2027 in Nuapada district, a review and training program was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Madhusudan Das today in the conference room of District Collector in the joint efforts of Directorate of Census, Odisha and Nuapada District Administration. In the training program, Joint Instructor Dr. Abhay Narayan Nayak from Directorate of Census, Odisha imparted detailed training to the concerned officers on the process of census, digital tools, formation and responsibilities of House List Block (HLB). This census will be India’s 16th census and the eighth census since independence. This will be done in two phases. In the first phase, Houselisting & Housing Census will be held from April 16 to May 15, 2026. Before this, the Self Enumeration facility will be available for the public from April 1 to 15, through which citizens can provide their information through the online website. In the second phase, the Population Enumeration will be conducted from February 9 to 28, 2027 and the Revisional Round will be conducted from March 1 to 5, 2027. March 1, 2027 at 12:00 PM will be taken as Reference Moment. For the first time, the census will be conducted entirely digitally. Enumerators will go door to door to collect data through Census Management & Monitoring System (CMMS) and mobile app. This will ensure accuracy, clarity and rapid monitoring of data. District In-Charge Statistics Officer Sudashanshu assisted in the training. In this review and training program, Additional District Collector Subash Chandra Rait, Upazilapal Surmi Soren, all Tehsildars, Executive Officers of the three notified area councils, Assistant Collector Vijay Kumar Chhatriya, District Information and Public Relations Officer Vidyapati Panda, NCDI and Vinay Tiwari, all concerned officers were present. Addressing the media on this occasion, District Collector Madhusudan Das said that census is an important national program. This information has an important role in the development of the district and the country. He requested the residents of Nuapada district to provide accurate and complete information to the enumerators and supervisors during the census, so that the census of the district can be completed accurately and accurately.
