Maliya, 18/02 : A preparatory meeting has been held for the famous pilgrimage dedicated to Kamnaraj, Balraj, Potraj and Ma Mutyallama known as Aradhya Dek Devi in Malkangiri district. For this, a special meeting has been organized in the Durga Mandap in the Block Sadar Mahkuma in the presence of the members of the Maliya Block Landayatra Committee and the public. In this meeting, there was a thorough discussion about the expenditure incurred during the last pilgrimage. Then, for the famous festival to be held this year, March 15th is scheduled, and ten days before that, the bamboo of the Lord will be brought and new bamboo planting program will be held. In addition, 24 village goddesses have been invited and a grand procession will be held with the help of Prema, Shira and Pujak of the village according to traditional procedures. In this meeting, various cultural programs to be conducted in the upcoming big trip, proper hospitality arrangements, accommodation arrangements of the village goddess were thoroughly discussed. In this meeting, Satyanarayan Majhi has been selected as the president of the big journey committee and the management committee has been formed. The meeting was chaired by Korapu Chandraya and around two hundred people from the local area including P Venkateswar Rao, Naka Nukal Raju, local Sarpanch Ganga Karam, Shira Committee President Mohan Bahadur, Kottam Balaia, K Bhaskar, Chinam Rabid, Ramachandra Majhi were present.
