Kandhamal, (Fast News Odisha): The forest department has arrested three hunters who are the main accused in the death of an elephant in Munduti forest under Belghar range of Baligudakhand forest in Kandhamal district. During the forest department’s investigation into the death of the elephant, when the three hunters were interrogated, the three hunters were thrown with electric wires and sat at the scene even after the death of the elephant. The three main accused were arrested. The forest department seized the skeletons of wild animals including electric wires, barks, lions, etc. In the incident of death of three elephants in Munduti forest of Belghar range, 10 accused including six hunters, the driver of the deputy ranger of Ferrar, JCB operator have been arrested and prosecuted. Deputy Ranger Bina Kumar Bishi has been suspended as the forest department higher authorities are not taking strict action against the deputy ranger of Ferar.
