Malkanguri, 27/2/26: The 75th District Council General Session has been held at the District Council conference room under the chairmanship of Samari Tangulu. All the members of the district council participated and drew the attention of the officers and district administration in the meeting regarding the various problems of their area. District Magistrate Somesh Kumar Upadhyay directed the officials of various departments to take steps to solve all the problems of the district council members. Ms. Tangulu emphasized on correcting the land lease errors and giving proper leases to the beneficiaries. The District Magistrate called for applying for loans through the District Industries Center (DIC) for setting up small scale industries in the district. District Collector informed that 35 percent subsidy is available for rural areas and 25 percent subsidy for urban areas under PMEGP scheme. The House emphasized on hostel arrangement to reduce the number of drop outs in the district. The District Collector said to make the youth of the Scheduled Tribes especially aware of the meritorious student promotion scheme. The District Collector informed that all arrangements are being made by the government to get professional education. The District Collector said that all the paddy will be lifted from the market by March. Finally, roads, bridges, health, drinking water, electrification etc. were discussed. Among others present on the stage were District Council Vice President Khylin Pavan Baidya, Bankhand Officer Sai Kiran, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Dasharathi Sarabu.
