Hon’ble Ganesh Singh Khuntia, Minister of Forests and Environment and Climate Change, Government of Odisha, laid the foundation stone of a tourist rest house and eco-park at Ramteerth in Yashipur, Mayurbhanj district. Dr. Prakash Chand Gaginani, Field Director of Shimilipal Tiger Project, Shimilipal North Deputy Director of Wildlife Bankand, Yashipur, participated in the said program. Rajesh Kumar Naik, Government Conservator of Forests, Officer-in-Charge of Forests, Yashipur and Baidyanath Majhi, were present. It can facilitate tourism development as well as tourist accommodation, thereby attracting more tourists. It remains to be seen how much the government’s multi-billion rupees projects can be well invested and how much role the minister will play in making these projects fully successful. The government is spending crores of rupees for the protection of forests, development of tourism and maintaining a healthy atmosphere with a balanced environment. Shimilipal is the identity of Odisha all over the world, but the protection of Shimilipal and its wildlife today raises the question of many facts and failures in rural and urban areas, the protection of wildlife and food crisis. Once Shimilipal gets its full protection, wildlife protection and food crisis worsens, it can raise its identity to the top while playing its uniqueness all over India and the world.
