Baripada (March 5): Human beings are considered the श्रेष्ठ (noblest) among living beings because they are born with humanity and the ability to perform good deeds in society. Good deeds are like the conch sound of wisdom—bringing smiles to the faces of the distressed and encouraging charity for the welfare of others while earning wealth. With the slogan “Victory to Saints, Victory to Society” for the welfare of the global community, Sadhavana Samiti celebrated its 561st unique Monthly Saint Day at the local Gopabandhu Bhavan. The program was conducted under the priesthood of member Sandeep Kumar Chand. During the event, the message of Sri Chaitanya—“Do not rely on mere breath; instead take refuge in the divine name and remain steadfast in righteous action even amidst suffering”—was discussed. The founder of the Samiti, Dharmaratna Purnachandra Bugudei, in his address stated that choosing a life away from religion is equivalent to distancing oneself from righteous living. He emphasized staying away from wicked people and living a life rooted in spiritual values. Among those who participated in the discussion were Dr. Bijay Kumar Agarwala, Pandit Bhagabat Panda, Gagan Bihari Behera of Gayatri Parivar, Panchanan Behera of Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Dr. Kunjaban Prusti, Professor Sunil Kumar Jena, Ashok Kumar Palei, Sandhyarani Panda, Ajit Kumar Kabat, Nanda Kumar Mahapatra, Police Officer Sushanta Kumar Behera, Dr. Shashadhar Biswal, and Kaibalya Mahapatra. The speakers remarked that a person who misuses the freedom granted by God and loses self-respect is counted among hypocrites and pretenders. At the beginning of the meeting, floral tributes were offered to Sri Chaitanya and Raman Tirtha Maharaj, whose birth anniversaries fall in this month. Finally, the secretary Manas Ranjan Mahapatra delivered the vote of thanks and invited everyone to attend the 47th Human Dharma Conference to be held on April 1.
