
Colabira, 12. 3 (Fast News Odisha): Gobind Kaka, a well-known social worker of Kolabira area, passed away early today. Govind Chandra Bhoi, a resident of Kolabira Telangana district, passed away at the age of 87 on Thursday morning at 9:00 am. While he was fully recovered, he was admitted to Jharsuguda for treatment two days ago for minor illness and returned home a day ago after recovering and died this morning. After retiring as a teacher from Kelta Jammal Primary School in 1998, he was always active in social service for the benefit of the caste society. From children to old people, colleagues and friends, everyone used to address him as Govind Kaka. He was closely involved in Kolabira Etih Asmita and the past, having been his ally in managing the administration during the Zamindari period as well as performing his duties as a salaried teacher within the government system after the implementation of the Zamindari Abolition Act. The king was an active participant in the landlord regime and was living witness to it for so long. Govind Kaka, born during the eclipse, saw the black rule of the British, and also tasted the golden sunshine of India. A shadow of mourning has been cast on his death. Many eminent persons especially senior and junior teachers of the teachers’ society paid their last respects as well as Shraddha Suman. His last rites were performed in village Mashani. The only son, Bilash, performed the last rites in the funeral procession of Amriya Krijan.
