
Malkangari, 15/3/26: Malkangari District Magistrate Arvind Rajashirke reviewed the progress of bridge construction from the important pole of Kalimela Block. Today, he visited the under-construction bridge site and reviewed the progress of the work with department officials. During the visit, the District Collector spoke directly to the local residents. The bridge is not only a means of communication, but also associated with the passion and culture of the people of the region. He acknowledged the importance of the people, especially during the famous Big Yatra, as the road became more important. People’s welfare and protection of culture is our priority – the District Magistrate has given clear instructions to the departmental officers with this message. He said that the delay in the construction of the bridge should be removed and it should be completed immediately. It is worth noting that the Poleru Bridge is a major bridge connecting the local area with Andhra Pradesh. Once completed, thousands of people will benefit and there will be a major change in transportation. Similarly, the District Governor is emphasizing on the development of the infrastructure of various religious places to further enrich the tourism sector of the district. On this occasion, Mr. Rajashirke visited the famous Mauli Ma Temple and Manamkonda Temple in Poleru. The development work of this famous Peetha in Manamkonda area is discussed. He also visited the under-construction infrastructure of the famous Shiva temple on the Tagarkota hills. It is worth noting that Tagar Kota has a 30 feet high idol of Mahadev and micro-tourism facilities such as drinking water, lighting and arrangements for tourists are being developed. The District Magistrate has directed the officials to make these places more attractive for devotees and tourists. Kalimela Block Junior Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Block Mars Officer and other staff were present during this visit.
