Malkangiri, 11.02.2026 : Right Suspect Harassment Awareness Workshop has been held at the Local District Council Conference Room. Additional District Administration Somnath Chief Guest attended the program while District Social Welfare Officer Gauri Naik, Assistant Manager Surya Mahapatra from Chief District Medical Office, PO ICDS Cell Indira Sukthi Pradhan, PO T. Jayalakshmi, District Coordinator Women Sakaran Mani Mohan Sarkar and District Coordinator Kishori Sakthikaran, UNICEF staff Meenakshi Pradhan were present. The guests asked that no woman in the district should be harassed on suspicion of right-wing and to sensitize the women in every village in the district. Anganwadi staff, Asha Didi, Gender CRP, police station security officer, college students, Dishari, Gurumai, Sakthi Sadan staff, One Stop Center staff, District Women Empowerment Center staff were present in this program. Assistant Legal ID Defense Counsel Sagar Manigarahi, DSP HRPC, Onam Lakra were present as trainers in the said training camp and women should not be oppressed by right-wing suspicions in the society. Trained on what the legal constitutional punishment is for rape. The program was organized by the staff of District Social Welfare Department.
