Baripada – Thu :- 09/02/2026 An art camp has been held with Kunikuni children on the occasion of the foundation day of Sanshan Art Center in Manchbandha Ambagan area near Rikh Baripada. Organized under the leadership of Smati Nivedita Mahant, founder of Art Center, members and parents of children Anima Mishra, Rakesh Mahant, Sumali Murmu, Prabhas Mahant were present. Social worker, dramatist and teacher Somnath Singh was the chief guest and Deepak Kumar Beshra, founder and chairman of Santali Art and Film Development Foundation, was the guest of honor. Inaugurating the programme, organized in a natural environment, Komalamati expressed that it will help in developing the creativity of children. Among others, Sumi Hasada Beshra and Pratush Mahanth were present and expressed their views on making children interested in art, creativity and cultural awareness. The children had great fun expressing their creativity in colors and patterns through drawings. Speakers opined that such a program is the right move to keep children away from mobile for their overall development. Highlighting the need for trees in the current scenario, they were advised to provide fodder to all and take proper care of it.
