Kolabira, 7.2 (Fast News Odisha): The annual celebration of the school-2025-26 has been held at Government High School (SSD) Sodamal. The program was presided over by Mr. Sudarshan Saraf, the Principal of the school, while Mr. Arvind Singh, Chairman, Eklabya Model Residential School, Kirmira inaugurated the program as the Chief Guest and Mr. Pradeep Kumar, the Principal of Government High School, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, the Principal, Mr. Kumud Chandra Pradhan, the Principal of Government High School, Banjari, along with the former Principal of the school, Mr. Lakshmi Narayan Singh, Vinod Bihari Naik, Sodamal Sarpanch Mr. Chandan Patnaik and School Management Committee President Mr. Ganesh Kisan delivered their speeches as the guests of honour. In the afternoon, Additional District Mangal Officer Mr. Vivekananda Samal participated in the Udyaapani program and awarded the students who achieved in various categories. In the academic year 2024-25 of the school, the student Ms. Rita Kant, who was honored in the top 100 at the state level, and the student Ms. Shrabani Bhoi, who brought glory to the district by winning the first place in creative essay writing at the state level Surgiful program, were honored as the best student of the school. This year in the field of sports Ms. Bobby Munda and Nandita Bhoi, students of 7th grade from the junior girls’ section, Yash Majhi, the 8th grader from the boys’ section, Ms. Loji Bhoi, the 10th grader from the senior girls’ section, and Rahul Rohidas, the 10th grader from the boys’ section were honored by the guests. The program was conducted by Mr. Bharat Kumar Sahu, senior teacher of the school, while sports teacher Mr. Basant Kumar Behera, assistant teacher Mrs. Pramodini Ekka and Madan Meher Tulai were present to distribute the prizes. Under the supervision of senior teachers Mr. Premsagar Das and Madan Meher, students of 10th class Ms. Loji Bhoi, Shrabani Bhoi, Umakanti Munda, Gayatri Meher and Deepika Kumura anchored the cultural program. Among other teachers and students, senior teachers Ms. Savitri Patel, Rajshri Behera, Rani Munda, Rubirani Patel, Manoj Mahapatra, Pedarvind Mahatab, Prakashini Patel, Antyarami Meher, Aarti Kandulana and other staff participated in the program, along with the principal teacher of Samasingha Girls’ High School Mr. Nirmal Chand, teacher Sanjay Karali and Lakpati Sahu. Sports teacher Basant Behera expressed his gratitude.
