Nuapada: Tofan Bagh, a resident of Jhagrahi village under Komna block and a law student, has received Pratribandhu Award-2025 on World Forest Day-2026 this year. He has been doing various philanthropic work as the Legal Mitra of Nuapada District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). He has created widespread awareness in rural areas especially for environmental protection, planting over 2000 trees in the premises of his village Jhagrahi and Panchayat Samiti Graduate College and plastic waste. On Biswaban Day-2026, Nuapada District Collector Madhusudan Das Mukh attended as a guest and awarded Tofan Bagh with a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. After receiving the honour, Mr. Bagg said in his response, “This award has further enhanced my responsibilities. It will motivate me to continue with greater determination environmental protection and public service work through the Legal Services Authority.” Authority workers and local intellectuals congratulated him.
