Thuamul Rampur 29! 3. In Thuamul Rampur area of Kalahandi district, the whole area is celebrating the holy procession of Mother Thakurani. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees as religious atmosphere is created in the village. Various traditional rituals and pujas are organized in the villages regarding this festival. Mentalized devotees sacrifice domestic animals like chickens, parrots and goats to Maa Thakurani to fulfill their wishes. Along with this, the area is filled with the sound of dho, nishan and traditional musical instruments. In rural areas, special rituals are observed on this journey, and people wear new clothes and participate in the puja with devotion. The main institution of this festival will be completed next Tuesday, 31st. On this occasion, most of the villagers will eat “Amb Nuon” according to traditional customs and celebrate the festival with more enthusiasm. The walk presents a vibrant picture of rural culture as a unique blend of devotion, tradition and joy is found throughout the region.
