
Malkangiri, 6/4/26: On the occasion of Clean Odisha Day, a massive mass cleanliness campaign has been organized in every corner of Malkangiri district. The major tourist and religious places of the district have been cleaned in this program organized under the direction of District Collector Arvind Rajashirke. Our tourist attractions and heritage are the identity of our district. By keeping it clean, we are not only protecting the environment, but also creating a healthy tradition for the future generations, the District Collector expressed his opinion on the occasion. He further said that the responsibility for the beauty and cleanliness of the district is a collective decision of all of us. The District Governor has called on everyone to make Malkangari a clean and beautiful district. Under the campaign, cleaning work was carried out in Sri Mallikeshwar temple premises under the leadership of Additional District Administrator Somnath Pradhan, while Chief Development Officer Dasharathi Sarabu supervised the cleaning work near the historic Gurpriya Bridge. Similarly, in the presence of Additional District Collector Rajswa Vedbar Pradhan at Mugi Point and Deputy District Collector Duryodhan Bhoi at Holy Sita Kund, the campaign was continued with the same enthusiasm in different blocks and towns of the district. A collective decision has been taken to keep the heritage of the district clean and beautiful with the cooperation of the administrative officers and the local people. This initiative is expected to further enrich the tourism industry of the district.
